Bush baby is not a new name in Nigeria any more, if you grew up in rural area of the country you must have heard of stories concerning Bush babies which some of them are actually true while others are just mere stories to scare us.
There are quite some details most of us don’t know about this creature one of which is the name, Bush baby as it is often called is known as Nagapy or Galago.
A 13 year old boy from Benue state narrated how a Bush baby followed him from the bush which he went to farm. The young boy who was identified as Terhemba was reported to be a Tiv boy from Katsina-Ala Local Government in Benue State
Terhemba said he saw the small creature watching them from a tree in his father’s large Mango and Rice farm, he said he didn’t think of to hunt the it down since he have exusted his energy while working in his father’s farm.
Terhemba said when he got home with his mother he spotted the same animal outside and believed it must have followed them from the farm down to their house.
The most surprising thing is that Terhemba didn’t stress him self to hunt it down, according to the neighbours around they said he just picked it up while the creature didn’t make any attempt to escape.
This surprising to see a Nagapy at day time, this creature only comes out at night just like bat’s. What do you think must be the reason for it coming out in broad day light?
